Through Albany’s partnership with Windsor School, 42 children with no access to education were placed in the Windsor schools for this school year - with 21 in the preparatory school and 21 in the high school. Of these 42 children, 18 did not have a suitable place to live on Nassau and have been provided with full boarding, now living in the 50-bed residence hall on Windsor’s high school campus. Normal fees for tuition and boarding for 42 students would be approximately $1.4 million, however the ONE Bahamas Fund has been given a substantial discount of 60% in these fees. That resulted in a contribution of $557,000 from ONE Bahamas Fund which covers the significant incremental costs of taking in 42 new students, and we are thankful for Windsor’s in-kind donation of the remaining $836,000.
